Raquel's Product Review for Fine, Curly Hair

I often get asked how I enhance my natural curls with a full bodied look. Because I have fine, curly hair I am always trying new products to see what works best for me. Using three products, I was able to accomplish just that!

First, I use the Shea Moisture 100% Pure Argan Oil. I apply two pumps and massage into into the scalp and through the first two inches of hair. Be sure to keep this to a minimum because the natural oils on your fingers can cause unwanted frizz.

The second product I use is Miss Jessie’s Coily Custard. This can be applied throughout your entire hair using a dime to quarter sized amount of product. I like my hair to look big and full so I keep product usage to a minimum. You’ll want to emulsify as much as possible, so make sure that you’re working the product evenly throughout your curls. Using an old T-shirt to help with product evenness, you’re now ready to begin the diffusing process.

Diffusing can take as long or little as you want, I personally diffuse my hair for 30-45 minutes. Make sure that while you’re diffusing that you use your T-shirt to help soften the product so that the curls don’t look stiff. It’s also important to note that when diffusing your hair to keep the temperature on Cool for the best result.

Last, I apply Ouai Rose Hair & Body Oil as a finishing product for shine and to seal in moisture for the rest of the day.
